On August 1, the Health and Human Services Mandate went live for all but the very small group who qualified for exemptions or extensions, or who through political connections were granted a waiver. While most business owners are scrambling to figure out what this means both in terms of finances and their convictions, Hercules Industries a Colorado HVAC company pro-actively filed a lawsuit and requested an injunction.

U.S. District Judge John Kane awarded the injunction while the trial proceeds and demonstrated that he understands what’s at stake with this mandate. Judge Kane wrote that the government’s “harm pales in comparison to the possible infringement upon the Plaintiff’s constitutional and statutory rights.”

What’s at stake here is the established understanding of religious freedom, and its replacement as a fundamental right with sexual license. If you need further proof, join me tomorrow when you can hear it in the Administration’s own words. For the PointRadio.org, I’m John Stonestreet.
