Nathaniel Thomas is used to taking controversial stands on social issues. He’s marched and protested for civil rights. But now, he and other black pastors who oppose so-called gay marriage are being accused of intolerance. Apparently, some think only those who support the homosexual agenda really care about civil rights.

But Thomas is one of many African American ministers who don’t think so-called “gay rights” are equivalent to civil rights. They see it as a question of whether we’re going to redefine the fundamental unit of society, dismiss centuries of tradition, and deny clear Biblical teaching. They see it as the difference between identity and behavior and as a potential threat to religious freedom.

While Thomas preaches against homosexual behavior, he loves and welcomes those struggling with same-sex attraction just as he would anyone else.
